EILEEN COOPER . . .

. . . a recipient of the British Columbia Music Educators Professional Music Educator Award, is recognized provincially for her choral work in both traditional repertoire and vocal jazz. A graduate of Edinboro State College and the University of Illinois, she completed Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees.

Retired from teaching in the Greater Victoria School District, she is presently a Sessional Lecturer for University of Victoria, working with third and fourth year elementary and secondary music education majors and is music director at St. Dunstan's Anglican Church in Victoria.

Eileen organized the West Coast Concert Choir and the West Coast Vocal Jazz Festivals and served as a director on local and provincial festival boards. She continues her work as a clinician and adjudicator for schools and festivals in Western Canada.
