Craig Scott


Craig S. Scott is an accomplished drummer, vibraphone player and percussionist.

His drumming credits include concert and club dates with such Canadian jazz luminaries as Tommy Banks, Diana Krall, Oliver Gannon, Fraser MacPherson, Louise Rose, Hugh Fraser, P.J. Perry, Alan Matheson, Brad Turner, Mike Murley, Lorraine Desmarias, Ranee Lee, Kevin Dean, the Fred Stride Jazz Orchestra, and Gypsalero, as well as many international artists.

Craig has extensive recording experience in television, film and radio. He was featured on CBC Radio's Almanac, Hot Air, Jazz Beat and Westcoast Performance, and has played percussion on the background score for the TV series Millennium, performed on VTV's Gabereau, and played on the score for the movie Music of the Heart. As a session player, he has played on a number of albums both locally and internationally.

He has been written about in Vancouver Magazine and currently writes articles for the magazines Modern Drummer and Percussive Notes. Highlights of Craig's career include jamming with Wynton Marsalis, playing in the Victoria Symphony Pops Series (with Louise Rose's Trio) and opening for Oscar Peterson and the Neville Brothers (with Dee Daniels).
